Ranczo Rogowo as a gift: who a stay voucher works for

A stay voucher instead of another object under the tree. The variants, validity, parcel-locker delivery, what happens with a top-up and who it will not suit.

Another object under the tree that ends up in a wardrobe is not a particularly exciting gift. A stay voucher is something genuinely remembered for longer, and something you do not have to wrap or print yourself. Below is everything worth knowing before you buy one, including when it is a bad idea.

The three variants you choose between

A voucher for a weekday night. The value of one night from Sunday to Thursday, to use on any weekday date. The simplest variant and at the same time the most flexible in terms of availability, because midweek it is much easier to find a free date.

A voucher for a weekend night. The value of one night from Friday to Sunday. An important detail to remember when handing it over: a weekend booking is always a minimum of 2 nights. A voucher for a single weekend night will therefore cover half the cost, and the recipient pays the rest. That is not a catch, just a consequence of our minimum-stay rule, but it is better to say it openly when giving the gift than to surprise someone at booking.

A voucher for any amount. You set the value, the recipient picks the date, the length of the stay and the number of people themselves. If you do not know whether they prefer a weekend or midweek, or whether they travel as two or four, this is the safe choice.

Who it is a good gift idea for

For couples, for an anniversary. A shared trip instead of an object works especially well if the recipients already have everything they need and live in a city.

For parents and in-laws 50+. The group for whom buying a gift is hardest, because they usually have everything and buy themselves whatever they lack. A stay in silence, with home-cooked food and no need to cook, lands better here than another gadget.

For someone who has just finished a hard project. It does not have to be a calendar occasion. A voucher as a "rest, you have earned it" works just as well in March as in December.

As a company gift. A reward for an employee instead of another shop voucher, or a gift for a client. If you need an invoice and specific arrangements, write via the contact page; I reply by the end of the day at the latest.

Who a voucher is a bad idea for

Let us say it honestly, because it will save you disappointment.

A voucher requires action from the recipient: choosing a date, agreeing it with the other person, taking time off. If you give it to someone who notoriously postpones such things, there is a fair chance the gift will sit in a drawer for a year. In that case it is better to book a specific date yourself and hand over a ready date, not a voucher to use someday.

A voucher is also a weak idea if the recipient has no car. Rogowo is a village, getting here without a car is genuinely difficult, and that is not a problem that can be solved after the fact.

What a stay covered by a voucher really costs

To pick a sensible value, it helps to know the numbers:

ItemAmount
Weekday night (Sun-Thu), 1-2 people500 zł
Weekend night (Fri-Sun), 1-2 people600 zł
Weekend minimum2 nights
3rd and 4th person50 zł / pers. / night
Home-cooked breakfast60 zł / pers. / night
Home-cooked dinner60 zł / pers. / night
Romantic setup150 zł / stay

Practical reference points: a full weekend for a couple is 1200 zł, one weekday night for a couple is 500 zł, and a weekend for a couple with full board is about 1680 zł.

The nightly rate already includes accommodation, cleaning, bathrobes and towels, bikes, two SUP boards, a 4K outdoor cinema with a projector and Netflix, board games, a gas grill, a bonfire spot, the covered shelter and Starlink. The hot tub with jacuzzi and the Finnish sauna are 150 zł per day each, booked for the days you choose, so if you want the voucher to cover them, add that to its value.

How delivery works

You do not have to print or prepare anything yourself. We send the personalised, physical voucher to a chosen InPost parcel locker or directly to a given address. There is also an electronic version to print yourself, if you are buying the gift at the last minute.

The electronic version saves the day when there are two days left before the holidays, but a physical voucher is simply nicer to hand over. If you have the time, pick the latter.

Rada od Filipa

If you are buying the voucher as a gift and do not know the recipient's exact preferences (weekday or weekend, how many people), pick the any-amount variant. It is the safest option. And one more thing: add a note that a weekend means a minimum of 2 nights. Better that the recipient hears it from you than discovers it at booking.

What happens when the recipient wants to book

The process is simple. The recipient contacts us or books through the calendar, gives the voucher number, and we settle its value against the booking. If the chosen stay costs more than the voucher's value, they pay the difference on standard terms, meaning a 25% deposit online via PayNow and the rest on site.

If the chosen stay costs less than the voucher's value, it is worth adding something to the stay: an extra night, food or the romantic setup. A voucher is best used in full, in one go.

Validity and what to do when it is running out

As standard the voucher is valid for 12 months from purchase, and the exact date is on the confirmation. If the deadline is approaching and the recipient still has no date in mind, write to us before the voucher expires. We would rather arrange something than let a gift go to waste, but you have to get in touch in time.

The simplest way to avoid the problem altogether: book a date within the first three months of receiving the voucher, even if the stay itself falls much later.

When it is best to buy

Before the holidays demand for vouchers grows, and bookings for spring and the May long weekend grow with it. If you are planning a voucher for a specific, popular date (the May weekend, a long weekend, Valentine's Day), it is worth buying it and booking the date right away, instead of counting on the recipient doing it calmly in March.

How to order it

As standard, 12 months from purchase. The exact expiry date is on the purchase confirmation.
